Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about our roof cleaning and gutter cleaning services.

    Safety & Trust

Q: Is our roof moss protection treatment safe for my roof?

A: Yes. Our manufacturer-recommended moss protection treatment kills moss and algae at the root without using damaging high pressure. It protects your shingles and keeps your warranty valid.

Q: What if moss comes back?

A: We offer a 12-month moss-free guarantee. If any new moss growth appears within 12 months of service, we'll return and re-treat the affected areas free of charge.

Q: What types of stains do you remove?

A: We remove organic growth: moss, mold, mildew, algae, and lichen. That's our specialty. We don't guarantee removal of scuff marks, dust, oxidation, oil stains, gum, paint, or rust. Sometimes those come out during a cleaning, but we won't promise it.

Q: Will your cleaning damage my roof?

A: No. We use gentle, manufacturer-approved soft wash methods: • Low-pressure application (never high-pressure blasting) • Eco-friendly moss treatment that kills growth at the root • Safe for all shingle types and won't void your warranty

    Services

Q: What types of roofs do you clean?

A: All of them: • Asphalt/composite • Metal (standing seam, corrugated, metal shake) • Tile • Cedar shake • Flat roofs (EPDM, TPO, PVC) Every roof type gets a process matched to the material. Tile and cedar take extra care and are priced by custom quote.

Q: Do you offer other services besides roof and gutter cleaning?

A: Yes. Roof cleaning and gutter cleaning are still our core services, and we also handle pressure washing, exterior window cleaning, and select commercial exterior cleaning throughout the Seattle area.

    Environment

Q: Do you use eco-friendly solutions?

A: Yes. We use biodegradable, manufacturer-approved cleaning solutions that are safe for plants, pets, and the environment when applied properly.

    Maintenance

Q: How often should I clean my roof or gutters?

A: Most Seattle-area roofs need a full cleaning every 2-4 years, with an annual moss treatment in between to keep growth from coming back. Gutters should be cleaned twice a year, spring and fall. Heavy tree cover shortens those intervals; a roof under big firs collects needles and moss much faster than one in open sun.

Q: What's the best time of year to get my roof or gutters cleaned?

A: Any time of year works. We clean roofs year-round, and moss treatment is actually most effective in the cool, wet months when moss is actively growing. The real answer: book as soon as you notice visible moss, clogged or overflowing gutters, or debris buildup from trees. These problems compound over time and only get more expensive to fix.

    Process

Q: How long does a typical service take?

A: • Roof cleaning - 4-6 hours • Gutter cleaning - 1-2 hours Most jobs are completed same day.

Q: How do quotes and scheduling work?

A: • Start with the short quote form • Dylan calls or texts to confirm details • You get clear pricing before you book • If you want to move forward, we help you schedule • Scheduling depends on weather and current demand
